Diaphragm pump, also known as control pump, is the main type of actuator, which receives control signals from modulation unit.

The principle of diaphragm pump is to use the motor to push the piston back and forth, then push the diaphragm to move, suck and pressurize the paint, then push it out, and spray it to the coated object through the nozzle.

Piston works in anti-wear oil, so the working environment is greatly optimized, and the life span of the diaphragm pump is greatly increased. Thus, the piston treated by hardening is not easy to be damaged. Moreover, the high anti-twist diaphragm made of polymer material further increases the life span of the diaphragm pump.

Stable operation is another advantage of diaphragm pump, with extremely low failure rate, low requirements for voltage, environment, and maintenance.

Ⅰ. Diaphragm pump equipment system

It consists of one or more bilateral pumps, such as a pneumatic double diaphragm pump. The manifolds on the pump are separated, so that each side of the pump pumps out one component of multi-component materials, and an accumulator is connected with the outputs of both sides, so that the opposite-directional outputs of the pump become the same direction.

Diaphragm isolation valves can be located at the outlet of each side of the pump to prevent the mixed materials from flowing back. If a mixing ratio other than 1: 1 is required, more than one such pump can be used together to achieve various mixing ratios.

Ⅱ. Monitoring system of the diaphragm pump diaphragm failure

It is used to detect leakage of diaphragm. The system includes a pump, which has a working chamber filled with working fluid, a pumping chamber for pumping materials into and out of the pump, and a diaphragm for separating the working chamber from the pumping chamber.

A first optical fiber is connected with the working chamber for transmitting an optical signal through the working fluid. A second optical fiber is connected with the working chamber to receive the optical signal sent from the first optical fiber.

It also includes a device establishing signals. When the optical signal is transmitted from the first optical fiber and reaches the second optical fiber through the uncontaminated working fluid, a first electrical signal is established. When the optical signal is transmitted from the first optical fiber and reaches the second optical fiber through the contaminated working fluid, a second electrical signal is established.

When the second electrical signal is established, the leakage problem of the contaminated material through the diaphragm into the working chamber can be detected.

Ⅲ. Installation method of diaphragm in diaphragm pump

It is carried out on the geometric size of the diaphragm without affecting the volume change of the pump, and making full use of the excellent pressure resistance of the diaphragm.

It has the advantages of greatly prolonging the service life of the diaphragm, ensuring the normalization of production and improving the production quality without increasing any cost and workload. It can be applied to diaphragm installation in various diaphragm pumps.

Ⅳ. Advantages of diaphragm pump

1. It can be used to transport fluids with unstable chemical properties.

2. In the treatment of hazardous and corrosive materials, pneumatic diaphragm pump can completely separate the materials from the outside world.

3. Diaphragm pump is small and easy to move. It needs no foundation, uses little ground. Besides, it is easy to install and can be used as a mobile material delivery pump.
